Offered is a 100% original and beautifully personalized Service Badge (Class I) of the Reich Labour Service female youth (RADwJ) from 1938. This example was worn by the female youth in the basic rank of Arbeitsmaid. This particular piece is an absolute top find for the variant and personalization collector. On the reverse, the wearer’s name has been hand-engraved very finely in the aluminium in period style: "Helga Ritter". This kind of tangible personalization was done by the workers themselves. It gives this badge a unique and historic look. Features & Details: Wearer: Helga Ritter (engraving on the reverse). Variant: Early Type 1 version. Characteristic of this sought-after first variant is the high-quality, two-part pin construction. Manufacturer: M.H. 38 – Moritz Hausch, Pforzheim. The reverse carries the crystal-clear, early factory trademark with the interwoven letters 'MH' in a fine beaded border. Material & Year: 1938 – Produced in high-quality aluminium. As a result, the details on both the front and back have remained razor-sharp. The badge has absolutely no oxidation or metal rot, as is often the case with later zinc wartime models (Kriegsmetall). Markings: Fully and deeply stamped with the official RAD/J organizational seal in an inverted triangle and the legal protection mark GES. GESCH. Pin & Clasp: The original pin is completely intact, perfectly straight, and functional. Condition:In beautiful condition with a lovely, light age patina on the early aluminium. A fantastic reference piece for the serious collector of early RADwJ militaria and personalized equipment.
