Nice original German Boxer honor prize (medal) in complete, collectible condition. These specific medals were awarded during the pre-war period by the breed association under the Reichsverband für das Deutsche Hundewesen (R.D.H.). The medal was made for the Fachschaft für Deutsche Boxer (Sitz München) and can be dated exactly to September 19 and 20, 1936. The front features the characteristic gold Boxer head in relief, surrounded by an oak and laurel wreath and a clean, blue-enamelled outer rim. The reverse contains the original, deep engraving: "Ehrenpreis Berlin 19. u. 20. 9. 36". The item is in unpolished condition with a very attractive, authentic patina. No restorations or damage to the enamel.
