Rare m42 messkit made by Eisenhüttenwerke Thale (well-known helmet manufacturer) Marked E.T. 43. The m42 model was produced with less attention to detail and from steel. This messkit has a red base layer with an olive colored top layer, the handle is mounted at an angle to the lid (no repair), and the initials RD are engraved on both parts.
