26mm Half miniature of the badge for blockade runners (design Otto Placzek). This is an early and high-quality version in non-ferrous metal (tombac), with much sharper details than the later zinc versions. The badge is beautifully openworked (durchbrochen) with the anchor and portholes on the bow clearly visible. The reverse is correctly flat and unmarked. The original long, twisted needle (knurled pin) is fully intact, perfectly straight, and without repairs. An honest and untouched Kriegsmarine collectible.
