Beautiful German Reiterabzeichen (III Class) in bronze. This is an early, heavy base-metal variant in neat, worn condition. The badge is clearly and fully marked on the reverse with the maker: L. Chr. Lauer of Nürnberg/Berlin, and also bears the text “Gesetzlich Geschützt”. The original pin clasp and block hinge are completely intact and functional. A lovely piece with an honest historical feel!
