Dutch commemorative wall plaque (wall plate) from the mobilization period of 1939. It is a polychrome earthenware plaque in Delft blue style, produced by the well-known factory Société Céramique from Maastricht. The plaque shows a typical Dutch polder landscape with a windmill, sailing ships, factories with smoking chimneys in the background, and railways with railway equipment (signal post) in the foreground. Text and inscription: Top: "ALTHOUGH WORRIES ARE NOT ALL GONE, WE ARE PROUD OF SAFE NETHERLANDS" Bottom: 1939 Back: Equipped with the blind mark/factory mark of Société Céramique Maastricht. Also fitted with holes in the base ring and a historic hanging cord. Condition:The object is in complete, undamaged condition with a clear glaze layer and characteristic craquelure consistent with its age. No chips or restorations.
