Availability: In Stock

Offered for sale: a 100% original Dutch military kit bag from the period of the First World War. This example is made from the characteristic early kit cloth (dark-colored, coarse-woven canvas) and is in used but tidy historical condition. The original cotton drawstring in the tunnel hem is present and functional. The bag features clear, authentic military markings. On the front is the official inspection stamp of the Centraal Magazijn (CM) from The Hague, with the exact year of manufacture and acceptance 1916. below it. Additionally, the bag was later marked in the field with a white-stamped unit number in stencil letters: 3G62. This specific number refers to the 3rd Company of the Engineer Regiment, kit set number 62. A beautiful, pure, and factually documented piece of early Dutch militaria that rarely appears in this early WWI version.
