Offered is a 100% original British "bayonet frog" from the Second World War. This model was made from sturdy brown leather with a grained finish (grained leather), and was specifically produced at the time for the Home Guard and support units due to webbing shortages. Details:• Model: Pattern 1939 Leather Equipment• Manufacturer: Original British maker's stamp "H.S.B." on the reverse side.• Marking: Equipped with the original British Broad Arrow (War Department acceptance stamp) in the stitching on the reverse side. Condition:The frog is in excellent, supple collector's condition. The leather is not dried out and the six original rivets on the underside are firm and complete. Perfectly suited for a Pattern 1907 bayonet scabbard (Lee-Enfield).
