Wehrpass Ludwig Pytlik, born in Duisburg-Hamborn 09-05-1914. Ludwig served in various infantry and grenadier regiments: Infantry Regiment 20, Infantry Regiment 464, Grenadier Regiment 464 which was part of the 253 Infantry Division. He saw action from the Western Campaign 1940 where he participated in battles in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, after which he ended up at the Eastern Front. He was promoted several times during his service until he eventually became a Stabsgefreiter. He was awarded: Infantry Assault Badge, EK2, Eastern Medal, Wounded Badge Black. He went missing in action in Russia April 1944. Very interesting Wehrpass for further research!
