This rare piece of Dutch local wartime history was published on 6 April 1941 by Drukkerij Kassteen in Panningen. The 67-page booklet was written by priest M. Arts and contains the detailed chronicle of the village and rectory of Koningslust. Because it was printed at the time under restrictions in a very small edition to raise money for the local parish, its distribution remained purely regional. The booklet documents the origins of the village, founder pastor Leonard de Koning, and the earliest history of Huize Savelberg. The work is officially approved through an ecclesiastical Imprimatur by the dean of Helden. Condition:The booklet is in neat condition. The cover is complete and features a characteristic pen drawing (signed 'K.K. 41'). The pages are fully intact and show light, even discoloration and some age spots (foxing), which is consistent with the quality of paper from the occupation period. There are no loose pages. Due to the limited local print run, this is a very hard-to-find document that is not for sale anywhere online.
