Beautiful and 100% original early-war silver-colored milk jug, produced for the mess halls or officers' casinos (Offizierskasinos) of the German Luftwaffe. This heavy-quality hotel silver piece was made by the renowned manufacturer August Wellner Söhne AG in Aue and is dated 1937. The jug features a sleek Art Deco design and is in excellent collectible condition with minimal, age-related signs of use (scratches and light dents) and a lovely, light patina on the silver plating. Important note about the photos: the dark spots visible in the images are purely caused by reflections and shadows during photography; in reality these spots are not present, and the silverware is beautifully even in color. Markings on the underside: Ownership stamp: Crisp early Luftwaffe eagle in flight with swastika (Luftwaffe Eigentumsadler). Year: Clearly legibly stamped with the early production year 1937. Maker: Marked with the quality stamp of top manufacturer WELLNER. Capacity & Material: Stamped with the capacity 35 cl. and marked with the material designation 15(indicating the grade of heavy silver plating on a base of Alpacca/Nickel silver).
