Death card Linus Binder, born on 16 April 1921. He served as Gefreiter in an Infantry Regiment and was killed on 22 March 1942 during a battle in Ssetnoje on the Eastern Front at the age of 20. According to the official records of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge his status as a war casualty is fully documented in the central database for German military dead. His name is recorded there in the memorial register, since his physical resting place was left at the time in a field grave on the Eastern Front and could no longer be individually transferred to a central cemetery due to the fighting.
