Very rare catalogue/sales book concerning the Arado Ar 95 biplane/seaplane, published by Arado Flugzeugwerke G.M.B.H. in Babelsberg, Berlin in October 1938. The book contains 5 sections. Section 1: description contains 13 pages and a photo. Section 2: technical data contains 9 pages. Section 3: equipment contains 6 pages. Section 4: photos contains 17 photos. Section 5: drawings contains 6 technical drawings. The book presents all technical data, armament, equipment, dimensions and fittings, with 17 beautiful photos of the aircraft! The book is stamped on the first page with Central Electronical Bureau, located at Laan van Meerdervoort 80 in The Hague. The C.E.B. was at the time an important player in the emerging radio technology and telecommunications industry in the Netherlands. The Dutch connection in the book probably has to do with the Ministry of Defence or the Naval Aviation Service (MLD), who were looking for new aircraft at the time to modernize their fleet. The fact that the C.E.B. in The Hague applied this stamp proves that they acted as an intermediary. They probably tried to promote the Ar 95 to the Ministry of Defence or the MLD. The catalog is therefore a tangible remnant of a sales attempt or an evaluation process that never resulted in an order. The book is in neat and complete condition. Size: 31x24CM.
